California Food Handler

This course is approved for use in the State of California. The course and examination take approximately 2 hours to complete and, on successful completion of the program, provides the trainee with a downloadable certificate and handler card. The certificate is provided for the establishment and the card is for the employee.

California Food Handler Card

$12.95 per person

Law requires all food handlers in the state of California have a California Food Handler Card. New hires have 30 days from the date of hire to obtain a card.  A food handler is defined by law as a person who works in a food facility and performs any duties that involve the preparation, storage or service of food in a food facility.


Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties have existing local food handler requirement and are not affected by the state law.
